CC-Youth Flag Football
Youth Flag Football Program is a fun, non‑contact way for kids to learn the fundamentals of football and enjoy playing with friends. Players will practice basic skills like passing, catching, running with the ball, route running, and teamwork, all in a safe and supportive environment that emphasizes sportsmanship and confidence.
Participants will take part in weekly practices and games that focus on skill development and friendly competition. This program is open to boys and girls of various age groups and welcomes players of all experience levels — whether your child is just getting started or has played before.
**Parents will serve as volunteer coaches for this program** Please consider volunteering.

The Crawford County YMCA Flag Football Program teaches young athletes the fundamentals of football in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Registration is now open until August 2nd, and families may register online, in person at the YMCA, or by calling us. The YMCA provides jerseys, flags, and helmets for all participants.
The season begins with a two‑day combine on August 17th and 18th, where players will participate in drills such as hand‑offs, catching, blocking, and field awareness on the first day, followed by a camp covering offensive basics, defensive positioning, communication, and safe flag‑pulling techniques on the second day. At the end of Day 2, all volunteer coaches will attend a coaches meeting to review rules, receive equipment, and go over communication, safety, and field procedures.
