Art Camp is a creative program where students explore different art skills and techniques. Participants will work on still-life drawings, landscape studies, and basic human anatomy, while building observation and drawing abilities. Students will also experiment with different mediums such as pencil, paint, and sculpting to expand their artistic skills and creativity.

Participants must be entering these grades in the Fall 2026 school year.

Whether you are a seasoned horseback rider or a beginner, there will be fun and learning at this horse camp. We will be spending the morning at Stark Performance Horses in  Panora. The bus will leave at 7:45am and
return to the Nishna Valley Family YMCA around 2:00pm. Lunch will be
provided.

Our kids’ pickleball camp is designed for Grades 3–8 and focuses on building skills, confidence, and teamwork in a fun environment. Campers will learn the fundamentals of pickleball, practice with drills, and enjoy friendly games while staying active and having fun!

Strong Tykes Camp is designed for students in 3rd–6th grade, focusing on building strength, confidence, and coordination in a fun environment. Campers will take on exciting obstacle courses, participate in fitness workouts using kid-friendly equipment, and stay active through engaging fitness games. It’s the perfect way for kids to stay healthy, make friends, and have fun while getting stronger!

Calling all budding young chefs and foodies! Get ready for a sizzling summer filled with flavor, fun, and fantastic food at our Young Chef Camp. This immersive experience is designed for aspiring chefs and food enthusiasts aged 9-11 who want to explore the exciting world of culinary arts.

👩‍🍳 **What to Expect:**

Hands-On Cooking Classes: Dive into the kitchen with our experienced chefs and learn the art of creating delicious and nutritious meals. From mastering basic knife skills to creating gourmet dishes, our young chefs will gain practical cooking knowledge.
Your child will arrive at the YMCA and be walked over to the Middle School Food Lab. After class they will be walked back to the YMCA.
