Participants in this camp should plan to pack a dry set of clothing, water bottle and sack lunch.

This camp experience is for all kids aged 6-18! Whether you are a seasoned horseback rider or a beginner there will be fun and learning for your child. We will be spending the day at the Des Moines YMCA Summer Camp in Boone Iowa. The bus will leave at 9am and return to the Nishna Valley Family YMCA at 5pm. Lunch will be provided. Youth 6-8 years old will do Pony rides. Youth 9-18 will do trail rides.

There will be NO Class on June 19th. There will however be a Dutch Oven Cooking Over Campfire Class on June 11th from 1-2:30 at the YMCA taught in collaboration with the Cass County Conservation. They will be cooking over a campfire.

Calling all budding young chefs and foodies! Get ready for a sizzling summer filled with flavor, fun, and fantastic food at our Young Chef Camp. This immersive experience is designed for aspiring chefs and food enthusiasts aged 9-11 who want to explore the exciting world of culinary arts.

👩‍🍳 **What to Expect:**

Hands-On Cooking Classes: Dive into the kitchen with our experienced chefs and learn the art of creating delicious and nutritious meals. From mastering basic knife skills to creating gourmet dishes, our young chefs will gain practical cooking knowledge.
Your child will arrive at the YMCA and be walked over to the Middle School Food Lab. After class they will be walked back to the YMCA.
